So can someone just remind which GM's told Yzerman to teach that young scoundrel Drouin a lesson & not cave in. And that they wouldn't be wanting to trade for him when Yzerman was teaching him the lesson of "don't (frank) with the organisation" (no matter how bad you are being treated )? |

I really hope Yzerman keeps him, unless he can get a defenseman of equal value back, someone like Provorov. We still haven't seen Drouin and Stamkos for a full year yet. |

If a Drouin trade were to take place...when would be the most likely time? At the draft? Before the draft? |
|
|
|
Imagine NJ getting Drouin, as well as #1 pick, and possibly Kovalchuk. A few players to play with Hall. |

Faulk for Drouin probably won't happen.
Hanifin, though.... Maybe... |

I'm not sure what NJ gives up to get Drouin though. Their only valuable pieces on offense are Hall, whoever they draft, and maybe Zacha, who wouldn't be enough by himself to bring in Drouin. Severson is a good young D, but he's also their only good young Dman on a very thin unit. I can't think of a package they can put together for Drouin that wouldn't make them weaker overall. |

We have an obscene number of 2nd and 3rd rounders in the next two years. I'm sure at least a few could go to sweeten the deal on top of a good prospect or two. That said, I don't think that price is really all that worth it. Drouin is great, but we need Dmen. |

Unfortunately, this is a dream. I don't think Kovy plays another game in Jersey and I think that would be the right choice. He's 34. Get what you can get and move on. We also won't get Drouin. The reinforcements come in the form of Zacha, McLeod and Patrick/Hischer. |

It would have to start at Barzal or Hamonic, right? That's what I'd want |

Seems a bit unlikely to me that Sanheim and a 2nd rounder would get it done, but I would do that deal from a Flyer point of view. I would not give up the #2 overall pick or Provorov though in any deal for Drouin. Provorov is probably the only untouchable player on the Flyers or in their system to me. |

I'd like to try to keep Barzal if possible, but I'm sure Tampa would want him. I think I would give up Barzal though in the deal. |

Yeah both Devils and Flyers have a ton of picks this year. Landing the 1st and 2nd def makes our other picks more expendable for a trade, whether you are trading for Drouin or a dman. |

Is this a case where Druin has failed to impress couple yrs after the drama or a case of Yzerman still holding a grudge? |
|
|
|
I want Trouba to sign in Winnipeg long term, sadly I don't think he does. I think if the Jets can trade Kyle Connor, not that I want to!!! The kid is a natural goal scorer but its exactly the kind of move we'd have to make first. Connor for a young NHL ready D from Carolina, Philly or the Ducks, then I agree that I could see a Drouin Trouba trade. |

Imagine all the sandpaper if he was a GM? 4 lines, 3 parings of plumbers. Grit boner so hard, you'd have to (frank) a gravel pit. |

I'd say more a case of how can Stevie get Tampa out of the cap crunch they are about to get hit by. |
